Retrato del Director de Fotografía, David Moreno-Galeano
The professions of cinema have made of me a passionate about the world. I think a better human being in many ways. I like to create not only beautiful images, but above all fair with the subjects I film. Images with meaning that we can feel and that question us. Create them with curiosity, emotion and dedication.

I love this passion, this crucible where I converge craftsmanship, philosophy, leadership, sensitivity, and the cooperation of all the efforts of my team. Cinematography is an incredible art where concepts such as community and heritage are essential. Our image knowledge has been created over the centuries by hundreds and hundreds of artisans, just like all of us.

I have believed in this path because perhaps better images of the world will improve the world. In each project, little by little, each encounter, deliberate or fortuitous, broadens my vision and brings me closer to life.

Graduated from Universidad del Valle's School of Social Communication, David Moreno-Galeano is a trilingual professional (English, French and Spanish) who has participated in workshops and diploma courses on documentary film production and creation from the same university and has carried out studies specialization in Cinematography at Congo Films School in Bogotá City.

His passion for image craftsmanship has led him to hold various positions in the photography department, from lighting assistant to cinematographer. Since 2016 he has worked as a director of photography, cameraman and gaffer in feature films, short films, music videos and documentary series, including the series Under the Same Sky, which won the India Catalina award in 2017 for Best New Creator. Without a doubt, non-fiction cinema has been one of his greatest professional passions.

As a director he has made three short documentaries: The Silences, Memory of Two Lands and The Statues Do Not Return Their Gaze, broadcast by Telepacífico; Likewise, he has participated in teaching photography and lighting courses at the Universidad del Valle, Universidad Javeriana and the Cali Secretariat of Culture. Since 2020, he has been a member of the Colombian Corporation of ALADOS Documentalists and the Colombian Circle of Artists CICA-CINE.
